Just before the Christmas plans got under way, I attended the wedding of Jayne & Dave at the Bestwood Lodge in Nottinghamshire.
Everyone hopes for a white wedding when it’s booked around Christmas, but we had blizzards! However Jayne and Dave had come prepared and brought a snowboard to have a bit of a play on.
Everyone had a great day and partied well into the early hours.
Here’s a slideshow of a highlight of the day.
Enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting up with Jayne & Dave at Hardwick Ponds to capture their pre-wedding shoot.
We had a good time together going over the final preps for the wedding.
I can’t wait to see Dave and his mates in their kilts!!
Both Jayne & Dave soon got into the swing of things and soon relaxed.
Here’s a slideshow of the highlights of the shoot.

Just a quickie, well it looks like i’ve failed! I’ve been that busy the past couple of days i’ve not had time to post the pics. They have been taken but not been able to process them yet. I’ll get to it over the weekend and post them all together.
Here’s today’s photo. This is an ornamental garden roller at the top of our garden. Our lawn has been cut today and the roller was standing in all its glory in the sunshine.

So here is today’s picture. Whilst just having a break from editing in the studio with a cup of tea and some fresh air I remembered the gears needed adjusting on my mountain bike, so a couple of minutes with a screwdriver and it’s as good as new.

Okay so today I have decided to do something i’ve been thinking of doing for a while now. That is to blog “a photo a day” for the next 12 months. Why? Well because I want to make a record of what I see or do throughout the next 12 months. I have set myself a few rules;
1. The pictures must be taken with my iPhone.
2. Wedding pictures are not allowed.
3. Each image must include a description of why I took the picture.
So where do you feature in all of this? Well I would like you to comment on the pictures and if you like to add one of your own also. If you do though it must be taken with either an iPhone or if you don’t have one any other camera phone, and please include a description. Let’s try to make a record for the year.
It’s just a bit of fun, which may also bring out some creativity as well.
So here’s the first image, Picture 1, day 1!

These flowers were a gift to Jen for our anniversary.
On Friday we attended the wedding of Becky & Dean. We first went to meet up with Dean and the rest of the groomsmen. Dean was quite calm, the best men (there were two) seemed to be more nervous than Dean. We then made our way over to Becky, again, everything was calm, although they were running a little behind schedule, but then again that’s the bride’s perrogative.
We left for the church, St James Church, Woodhouse, and set up the gear. We photographed and filmed the wedding this week.
We came out of church to clear/cloudy skies, despite the forecast rain, although we had to quickly work as the rain cloud was coming. All the guests though were full of high spirit and everyone was enjoying themselves and having a good time. Becky & Dean had their first celebration glass of champagne as husband and wife, got into the wedding car for the final picture at church just as the rain shower started.
We all made our way to Kenwood Hall, Sheffield for the reception. We had another bit of a shower so were restricted on doing all the fun shots that we’re renowned for, however the bridesmaids and groomsmen were good sports and ventured out into the gardens for a bit of fun. We continued with the personal shoot with Becky and Dean until we finally got rained off yet again.
The wedding breakfast followed by a great night.
After we had finished the first dance and some of the interviews we put the cameras away and then enjoyed the rest of the night as Becky & Dean’s guests. We joined in with the fun as we had quite a lot of friends at the wedding. We stayed in the hotel for the night as it was our wedding anniversary the following day.
Here’s just a few pics of the day.

This afternoon we met up with Kelly & Matt, whose wedding we filmed at the beginning of August, to shoot some further footage. We normally shoot a pre-wedding love story, but due to availabilty and weather issues prior to the wedding it was agreed that we would shoot a Mr & Mrs shoot after they returned from honeymoon.
We met up at Hardwick Hall Lakes and had some fun filming the couple together, Matt showed off his skill at hurdling gates and still came out in one piece. After we finished me and Matt had a good chat about our iPhones, comparing apps!!
Here’s a couple of pics taken by Jenny of the guy’s in action.

So, yesterday the day of Chelsea and Adam’s wedding finally arrived.
We started off by visiting Adam and his groomsmen, Adam was presented with a present from Chelsea, which was a pleasant suprise to Adam, his own personal collection album of some bridal boudoir pics we shot a few weeks ago, absolutely beautiful.
We then drove over to Chelsea’s parents house to photograph her getting ready shots, it was quite an emotional time when dad saw Chelsea for the first time, a moment I don’t think Chelsea, or dad, will ever forget.
The church service followed with a packed out church. We did some formals and some fun shots with the guests who were up for anything, a brilliant crowd! Over the last year or two, we have shot a few weddings of friends of Chelsea & Adam, so we saw quite a few people who we recognised as guests/bridesmaids/groomsmen & parents from previous weddings, so it was nice to see them and have a chat again.
We then moved on to a lake in the Welbeck estate where we shot some images of the bride and groom, then into a field with newly made haystacks for some “different” fashion style pics, which look great. It was then onto the reception where during Adam’s speech there was another suprise lined up, an interruption by none other than “Del Boy” .. the number one Del Boy impersonator in the country, he is brilliant. Apparently Adam has always had the nickname of “Rodney” so what better way to interrupt “Rodneys” speech than by Del Boy making an entrance!!
All in all it was a great day, with lots more people attending the evening reception.
Here’s a photo montage of some of my favourite pics from the day;

Del Boy and Mr & Mrs Fletcher

And lastly a slideshow of the highlights of the day.
As always if you would like to view the gallery, once the bride & groom have viewed everything, then either leave a request using the comments below or send us an email.
Enjoy!
