Please vote for us

It’s the time of year again for The Bridal Magazine to start taking votes for the category relevant to us, Bridal Magazines, wedding Photographer of the Year.
We got through to the final 5 last year and came runner up, so thanks to everyone who voted for us then.
Can we please ask for your continued support and vote again for this year. It will only take a minute of your time and we would really appreciate it.

Many thanks,
Carl & Jenny.

The Bridal Magazine Awards - Vote Today

We’re going to be offering a brand new service very soon!

Some time ago we had the idea of offering our editing services out to other photographers. We put the idea on hold for a while to see how the photography market was changing. Well now after doing a fair bit of research we are going live with this service. Outsourcing is a big thing in America as it allows you, the photographer, to do what you like doing best….. taking photographs and having more free time, which is why a lot of us start working for ourselves in the first place, to have more time, and for those of you who do that we’re sure you will agree when we say “how wrong that is”!

In the days of digital photography, editing can take up a whole lot of time, especially when you are shooting lots of jobs, and unless you enjoy sitting for hours in front of a computer screen the workload can soon build up, the phone starts ringing from clients chasing their pictures and the hole gets deeper and deeper!

So how can you free up your valuable time to do more of the things you enjoy doing? Simple, send us your RAW images (or jpg’s) and let us do the hard work for you! We will return your edited images to you within seven working business days from receipt. We can do all the culling or, just edit your pre-selection, basically something for everyone.

We will colour correct, exposure correct, white balance correct, and black & white conversions and can return the files as a lightroom catalogue, or as HiRes Jpeg images, you choose.

There is no ongoing subscription costs, no minimum order, no commitment, you simply pay per job!

If you would like more information on pricing, samples etc then please get in touch.

We will be launching a new web site very soon so keep a lookout for it.

Regards, Carl & Jenny

“Photo a day” day 2

So here is today’s picture. Whilst just having a break from editing in the studio with a cup of tea and some fresh air I remembered the gears needed adjusting on my mountain bike, so a couple of minutes with a screwdriver and it’s as good as new.

A “photo a day” for a year! A new challenge

Okay so today I have decided to do something i’ve been thinking of doing for a while now. That is to blog “a photo a day” for the next 12 months. Why? Well because I want to make a record of what I see or do throughout the next 12 months. I have set myself a few rules;
1. The pictures must be taken with my iPhone.
2. Wedding pictures are not allowed.
3. Each image must include a description of why I took the picture.

So where do you feature in all of this? Well I would like you to comment on the pictures and if you like to add one of your own also. If you do though it must be taken with either an iPhone or if you don’t have one any other camera phone, and please include a description. Let’s try to make a record for the year.

It’s just a bit of fun, which may also bring out some creativity as well.

So here’s the first image, Picture 1, day 1!

The Wedding of Becky & Dean

On Friday we attended the wedding of Becky & Dean. We first went to meet up with Dean and the rest of the groomsmen. Dean was quite calm, the best men (there were two) seemed to be more nervous than Dean. We then made our way over to Becky, again, everything was calm, although they were running a little behind schedule, but then again that’s the bride’s perrogative.
We left for the church, St James Church, Woodhouse, and set up the gear. We photographed and filmed the wedding this week.
We came out of church to clear/cloudy skies, despite the forecast rain, although we had to quickly work as the rain cloud was coming. All the guests though were full of high spirit and everyone was enjoying themselves and having a good time. Becky & Dean had their first celebration glass of champagne as husband and wife, got into the wedding car for the final picture at church just as the rain shower started.
We all made our way to Kenwood Hall, Sheffield for the reception. We had another bit of a shower so were restricted on doing all the fun shots that we’re renowned for, however the bridesmaids and groomsmen were good sports and ventured out into the gardens for a bit of fun. We continued with the personal shoot with Becky and Dean until we finally got rained off yet again.

The wedding breakfast followed by a great night.
After we had finished the first dance and some of the interviews we put the cameras away and then enjoyed the rest of the night as Becky & Dean’s guests. We joined in with the fun as we had quite a lot of friends at the wedding. We stayed in the hotel for the night as it was our wedding anniversary the following day.
Here’s just a few pics of the day.
