The Pre-wedding shoot of Paula & Glenn

Well earlier tonight we met up with Paula & Glenn so that we could photograph their pre-wedding shoot before retiring to the local pub to go over the finer points of their wedding day.
We made our way up to Ashover Rock between Matlock & Chesterfield. The sun was out although not far from setting, there were the odd clouds in the sky and we had two people excited about their wedding day, the perfect combination.
We had a great time with Paula & Glenn both being natural in front of the camera. After we had finished the shoot we drove down to the Black Swan pub in Ashover village where we spent the next hour going over the wedding in detail and confirming the wedding album style and design.

Here’s a slideshow of our favorites from the shoot. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did. We can’t wait to shoot the wedding.

The Pre-Wedding Shoot of Emma & Steve

A few days ago we met up with Emma & Steve at the Hardwick Inn to go over the final plans of their Christmas wedding which we will be shooting next week.
After a hot cup of tea and all the plans gone through in detail we drove down to the ponds at Hardwick Hall to shoot their pre-wedding shots.
The temperature was around minus 8 degrees so we didn’t spend too long, but we got some great shots of these two love birds. We were joined along the way by a friendly little Robin who also wanted to be part of the action so seeing as it was a winter theme it only seems right to add him into the show, he even went and sat next to them for one shot!
Here’s a highlight show of the session.

The Pre-wedding shoot of Cheryl & Mark

On Sunday we were scheduled to shoot the pre-wedding of Cheryl & Mark. We had a fantastic location lined up, but the rain put a stop to our plans. So instead we decided between us to meet up at Ringwood Hall where Cheryl and Mark will be having their wedding reception after a service at the Crooked Spire Church in Chesterfield. The Crooked Spire Church only hold six weddings a year so we are really looking forward to shooting here again, a fantastic place. It takes me back to my younger days when I used to sing in the church choir there when I was about 12 years old. I remember having to sit under the hairdryer while my mum used to blow wave my hair to look “angelic” in my choir suit!! I only used to do it ‘cos we got paid the princely sum of 50p for a wedding!! Wow how times have changed, although even at 12 yrs old I was making a living from weddings, so maybe things haven’t changed that much!

ANyway after a couple of pots of tea whilst we were going over the final points of the wedding, the sky started to brighten up and we even saw some blue sky. We grabbed the camera and went out into the gardens of Ringwood to shoot some pictures of Cheryl & Mark. They both soon got into the swing of things, and although the ground was wet it didn’t in any shape or form dampen their enthusiasm for posing.

Here’s a slideshow of our favourites of the session.

Can’t wait for the wedding.

The pre-wedding shoot of Karen & Dean at Renishaw Hall

Well today was a bit special for us at is our 18th wedding anniversary! Eighteen years ago today at 1.30pm we tied the knot, how time flies, we can remember it like it was yesterday! If only wedding photographs of today were around eighteen years ago?

Anyway, we met up with Karen & Dean at Renishaw Hall today to take the pictures of this really easy going couple. Although Jenny has met them both before, it was the first time that I had met them in person. What a nice pair they make. I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding as nothing is too much trouble. Both Karen & Dean were up for any suggestions we made, which makes our job so much easier and this shows through in some of the pictures we got.
I absolutely love this venue, especially the barn area which is my personal favourite.
It’s a few weeks before they themselves tie the knot, but i’m confident it’s going to be a great wedding.
Here’s a slideshow of my favourites of todays shoot.

The Pre-wedding shoot of Mel & Scott

Tonight we met up with Mel & Scott over at Thoresby Hall which is to be the venue for their wedding. This is going to be an awesome wedding as we have our good friends Mike & Lauren Richards flying over from the USA to second shoot with us on this wedding. It promises to be something else.
The sky today was something else, and although the images have been edited, i’ve not done a great deal to enhance the skies.
Here’s the faves from the shoot. Hope you like them guy’s.
