The Highlights from Sue & Colin’s Wedding

On Sunday we photographed the wedding of Sue & Colin at the beautiful venue of Fischer’s-Baslow Hall.
The weather forecast was for rain but luckily other than a 10 minute shower the weather kept fine & dry, until around 9pm at least.
Everyone had a really great day, and this was a most enjoyable wedding celebration to be a part of. A lot of thought and planning went into this wedding with lots of detail, lots and lots of emotion, especially from Natalie. It was a very intimate celebration with close friends and family thoroughly enjoying each others company and surroundings. During the photographs in the garden everyone was involved in a bit of fun, and comments were made on how different and enjoyable we had made it for the guests. It’s really nice to hear that, especially on the day, thank you.

Wedding in Isleworth, Florida

A few weeks ago we were flown over to Florida, USA to photograph the wedding of Elizabeth & Jeremy. I did a blog entry back then but did not post any images at the time as the album had not been designed at that point.
Well here is an update and just a few of my favourite images from the wedding, there were hundreds more but I thought i’d just add a few as a taster.

With today’s “need it now” society it seems like everyone is either Tweeting, Facebooking or whatever else..inging’ they can do to keep in touch with friends and family and business, in fact anything that’s of interest.

We are no exception and as many of you already know we use Twitter, Facebook and even have our own App on iTunes.

A Family day out with the Harvey’s

A few days ago we met up with a previous bride & groom of ours Lian & Kriston. We filmed and photographed their wedding three years ago at Chatsworth House and it was nice to hear from them wanting to book a family shoot.
We agreed on the location, Sutton Hall, nr Chesterfield and met up there on a lovely sunny afternoon. Along with Lian and Kriston was mum & dad, brother & sister and their children.
Everyone had a great time and we got some great shots of them all.

The Pre-wedding shoot of Paula & Glenn

Well earlier tonight we met up with Paula & Glenn so that we could photograph their pre-wedding shoot before retiring to the local pub to go over the finer points of their wedding day.
We made our way up to Ashover Rock between Matlock & Chesterfield. The sun was out although not far from setting, there were the odd clouds in the sky and we had two people excited about their wedding day, the perfect combination.
We had a great time with Paula & Glenn both being natural in front of the camera. After we had finished the shoot we drove down to the Black Swan pub in Ashover village where we spent the next hour going over the wedding in detail and confirming the wedding album style and design.

The Wedding of Julie & Chris

A few weeks ago we photographed the wedding of Julie & Chris, who got married at The Sitwell Arms Hotel, Renishaw.
We had a great day shooting this wedding and everyone who was there made the atmosphere great, with lots of smiles, laughs and a few tears at some emotional moments.

Back home from our roadtrip in the States.

Well we’re back on home soil after our visit to the USA, looks like we brought back some of the Florida weather.

We went out there to shoot a wedding as a team with our very good friends, Mike & Lauren. RAW Weddings is a destination wedding photography company that we are forming along with Mike & Lauren which will offer a totally unique package to high end brides all over the globe, unique in the fact that our style will be a combination of European and American styles, four photographers, (two husband and wife teams), and totally whacky but creative ideas! The wedding was held at Rollins College in Orlando followed by a reception at Isleworth (the home of Tiger Woods!) It was an amazing wedding and we captured some beautiful shots of the whole day, it was a great experience. We are still busy editing the photographs, so will upload a few of our favourite images once they’re done.

We spent the week with Mike & Lauren at there lovely home in Apopka, thanks again guys for making us feel so welcome, we really do appreciate our friendship. We got to meet up with some family members we had not yet met in person which was nice and also met some new friends. To say we had a blast would be an understatement.

Tonight we’re going out to celebrate the 99th birthday of my Grandad Jack. I hope i’ve got his genes! He recently set up a facebook account and is on there most days surfing the web and updating his facebook profile, he must be one of the oldest facebook users in the world. If you use facebook then please send him a birthday wish… Just search for Jack Reynolds. He would love it.

Oh and finally, we’ve been asked to shoot a marriage vow renewal service when we go back to the USA in August. Can’t wait.

Whats happening at Class 1 Weddings?

We are always searching for ways to improve our service and presentation to our clients and over the last couple of months we have been giving great thought and consideration to our current website. Behind the scenes I am working on a completely revamped website which hopefully will be online within the next couple of weeks, we have also given a lot of thought into changing our company name to something a little more personal and identifiable. We’re keeping that under wraps for the moment, but will release full details, probably at the same time as the launch of the new website, we will integrate the two sites initially and gradually swap over completely. We are really excited about the changes and welcome any feedback once we go “live” with the new site. And don’t worry about finding us, you will still be able to type in our current domain name and it will divert you to the new site.
As they say “watch this space”!

Just on a side note, I would just like to apologise to a small number of our clients who were expecting delivery of discs this week. A very close relative of mine sadly passed away 13 days ago and as you can appreciate we have been a bit pre-occupied with the incident. The funeral is being held tomorrow morning, so hopefully things will get back to normal at the beginning of next week and we will endeavor to get back on time.

Wedding Fair time again!

If you’re thinking of getting married then why not take a run out this coming Sunday and visit the Wedding Fair at The Sitwell Arms Hotel, Renishaw?
There will be loads to see, lots of different vendors from photography & video through to wedding dresses and cars. It really is a worthwhile trip.

We all know how expensive weddings can be, and the Sitwell have realised this and are offering an all inclusive package which includes everything you need to make your wedding complete at very reasonable prices. Go grab yourself a bargain!

Here at Class 1 Weddings, we are proud to say that we are the recommended photography company by The Sitwell Arms. Jenny will be at the Wedding Fair on Sunday so come on down and meet her. We will be taking bookings for PHOTOGRAPHY and/or VIDEO or as we prefer to call it CINEMATOGRAPHY. Where will I be, you may ask? Well somebody has to sit behind a desk editing all those pics and videos we keep shooting!
